Hull FC announce squad numbers: Luke Gale to wear Seven

Hull FC are the latest club to announce their squad numbers ahead of the 2022 season, with new signing Luke Gale wearing the number seven shirt.

The number one shirt stays with Jake Connor, while Adam Swift moves up to number two, replacing the outgoing Bureata Faraimo.

Numbers three and four stay the same, with Carlos Tuimavave and Josh Griffin respectively. Another new signing, Darnell McIntosh, will wear five.

Half-back Josh Reynolds stays at six, with Gale being his new partner at seven, replacing Marc Sneyd.

In the forwards, Ligi Sao moves up to eight from 13. Scott Taylor drops to number 30, and  Jordan Lane takes the number 13 shirt.

Lane did wear the 16 shirt, which has been given to new recruit Kane Evans in 2022.

Another new recruit from the NRL, Joe Lovodua, will wear the number 14 shirt, with Jordan Johnstone dropping to number 21.

The other changes see Mitieli Vulikijapani move up to 25 to replace the departed Masi Matongo. Marcus Walker also gets the 26 shirt from Jude Ferriera.

Jacob Hookem and Aidan Burrell have been given 27 and 28 respectively.

Brett Hodgson’s side are looking to improve in 2022. They started brightly in 2021, but their season ended up fizzling out, and they ended up finishing outside of the playoff spots.
