USA star Bureta Faraimo is well and truly settled into life at Hull FC and he loves the English culture, including fish and chips.

The 27-year-old has been living in England for five years now after he joined Hull FC from New Zealand Warriors in the off-season.

Faraimo brings a blockbusting style of play on the wing and has already scored four tries for the Black and Whites.

And he is loving life in England right now.

He told hullfc.com: “I actually went to Bridlington a couple of weeks ago, it was pretty foggy and then it started raining, I could only see about two metres in front of me!

“But I had a really nice fish and chips, which I had never tried before, so it was great to try that out. I’ll definitely be having that again.

“Thankfully the sun has come out a little bit more the past week, so hopefully I can do some more exploring with my family in the nicer weather.”

Faraimo’s family have also taken to East Yorkshire like a duck to water, with some of his children joining local amateur club Cottingham Tigers.

And he has heaped praise on the local residents for being so friendly.

The New-Zealand born star added: “I can say that the English people are very welcoming.

“When I first got here, I had a neighbour who knocked on my door and welcomed me to the neighbourhood. I thought that only happens in movies!

“I have a nine-year-old daughter and she plays for Cottingham Tigers Under-10s and I have also got another girl who plays for the Under-8s.

“They both love the sport, being in the team environment and it’s something to keep me busy as well.”
