Hull derby re-arranged

The derby between Hull and Hull KR scheduled for Friday July 16 has been brought forward 24 hours for live television coverage on Thursday July 15.

The game, which will still kick off at 8pm, has been moved after a request from SKY Sports to broadcast the game live.

Hull FC Chief Executive James Rule commented: “We were approached by the RFL and SkySports to ask if we could facilitate a change of date for the next derby fixture for television coverage.

“Sky Sports are our major broadcasting partner, therefore it is only right for us to try and support this request and after discussions with SMC and Humberside Police, this has now been changed.”

Any supporters who have already paid for tickets and cannot make the game can bring their tickets to the ticket office up to 24 hours prior to the game and get a refund.

SKY normally broadcast a live game from the Championships on a Thursday night, but the Northern Rail Cup final takes place that weekend, meaning there is a gap in their schedule.
