Hull aiming to give Tigers Watt for

Liam Watts believes back-to-back wins has given Hull FC a confidence boost ahead of Sunday’s Challenge Cup quarter-final clash with Castleford.

Hull head into the game on the back of wins over Wigan and Salford, and having already beaten the Tigers at the KCOM Stadium in the league back in April Watts is confident they can book their place in the last four.

“We really took it to Castleford in that first twenty minutes last time and it was no coincidence that we were 18-0 up inside that period,” he told the club’s official website.

“The boys did well to hang on that day down to twelve men, but we’ve definitely got it in our to armoury to unpick them again and we’ll certainly be trying our best to break them down.

“Putting in a good display against Salford has really put us in good spirits going into the game at the weekend.

“We know Castleford are in form but I think we showed both last week and the week before against Wigan that we are too.

“We knew it was going to be a tough draw because there are no easy draws, but we’re really up for it and it should be a great spectacle.

“In the four games we played in the cup last year I don’t think we were expected to win any of them, so we did it tough then and we believe we can do it again.”
