Hull aim to maintain form at Widnes

Hull FC forward Jordan Thompson believes the team’s recent good form will stand them in good stead for Sunday’s trip to Widnes.

The Airlie Birds sit second in the Super League table having won their last three games and Thompson is eager to keep the run going against the Vikings.

“It’s very important (being in form) – they’re sat at the bottom of the table at the moment, which doesn’t really reflect on their performances,” Thompson told the club’s official website.

“They’re a difficult team to beat, especially at home and we need to be on form and having those wins under our belt really puts us in good stead.

“You’ll see throughout the year that they do turn a lot of teams over on their own patch and they’re a hungry side.

“I think some results don’t go their way for one reason or another, but they’re definitely a fighting team and they’re going to come looking for us.”
