Hunslet have confirmed that Jon Luke Kirby has re-joined the club from Huddersfield on an initial one-month loan.

Kirby enjoyed a loan spell at the League One side earlier in the season, before his parent club recalled him and subsequently sent him on loan to Halifax.

The 20-year old has yet to make his professional debut for the Giants but was promoted to the first-team in 2018.

On the loan acquisition, Head Coach Gary Thornton said: “I’m delighted Jon Luke is returning. He was a very popular member of our group, and added value to the team.

“He has been away playing Championship rugby with Halifax, which will have given him great experience playing at the higher level.

“He will give us additional cover and add competition for places in the front row, while Aiden Hema continues his recovery from his ankle injury.”
