Huddersfield youngster earns full time deal

Huddersfield have handed a three-year Super League contract to teenage hooker Kruise Leeming.

Leeming, 17, will make the transition from part-time to full-time player, and hook up with Paul Anderson‘s first team squad.

Giants Head of Youth Peter Riding said: “Kruise has great potential as those who saw him pre season at St Helens in the first team would recognise. That was a brief taster for him and his training and play for the nineteen’s has continued to mark him out as one to watch and deserving of the upgraded move into the full time environment.

“It gives great incentive to all the younger players when we are able to demonstrate that the door is always open to move forward into Paul Anderson’s squad if the right attitude, ability and desire is shown. Kruise has ticked all these boxes and I look forward to watching his progress.”

A product of the Siddal amateur club, Leeming has earned international recognition throughout his junior career.
