Huddersfield smash Hull KR 38-6

Huddersfield has emerged victorious by 32 points over Hull KR in a friendly at the KC Lightstream Stadium.

Oliver Roberts opened the scoring with a try on debut. Leroy Cudjoe then crossed to give the Giants a 12-0 lead.

Then Danny Brough set up Ukuma Ta’ai to put Huddersfield 18-0 in front. The one-way traffic continued as Joe Wardle then steamed over from dummy half.

The Giants were comfortable in their 24-0 lead at half-time.

In the next 40 minutes Huddersfield continued the rout. England winger Jermaine McGillvary was the first to score.

Cudjoe then claimed his second of the game but Jamie Ellis couldn’t convert it.

Soon prop Daniel Smith was over, for Huddersfield’s seventh try, and Ellis added the extras to take the score to 38-0.

Hull KR finally broke their drought when Matty Marsh got over the line after quick play down the far side.

The conversion was good with the match finishing up 38-6.
