Great Britain international Jones, 27, has agreed a one-year deal with the Giants.

Huddersfield coach Ian Watson said: “What he’ll bring to the club is genuine quality, which has been key to all our moves, and a winning mentality.

“He’s extremely competitive, he offers attacking prowess, offloads and a quick play-the-ball. He’s also one of the best defensive players in the competition, he really understands the game.”

Australian forward Yates, 25, has penned a two-year deal with Huddersfield.

Watson said: “Luke is and was amongst the best middles in the competition last year and is definitely one of the hardest working players you will ever come across.

“His appetite for the contest is shown in his work ethic for his team-mates in Defence and his attitude to turn up for the tough carries.

“Luke was a number one target and I am over the moon with Luke joining us at the Giants.”
