Huddersfield release Gene Ormsby

Huddersfield have released winger Gene Ormsby.

Ormsby, 25, only made 11 appearances for the club, scoring six tries, after moving from Warrington in 2016.

Giants Managing Director, Richard Thewlis, said: “We wish Gene every success for the future and thank him for his time with us.

“The reality is that his move to the Claret and Gold didn’t really work out as everyone would have wanted and it was felt by all that a fresh start was the best way forward for both the player and the Club.”

Ormsby, a product of the Oldham St Annes amateur club, came through the youth ranks at Warrington and has also played for Swinton and North Wales during his career.
