Featherstone have signed forward Daniel Smith on a one-month loan deal from Huddersfield.

The 25-year-old will bolster Ryan Carr’s pack which already boasts Super League experience through the likes of Scott Wheeldon and Brett Delaney.

Smith made one appearance for Rovers back in 2014, scoring a try in their 50-14 victory over Whitehaven while on dual-registration from Wakefield Trinity.

On linking up with Featherstone, Smith said: “Featherstone look to have a good squad and I think I can add a bit more experience to that.

“This is a good chance for me to get some game time and prove myself.”

On signing Smith, Featherstone coach Carr commented: “He brings really good Super League experience with him, which is exciting for us as a squad.

“We’re building a really good squad here and he’ll be a really good addition to it.”
