Huddersfield duo get England call

Huddersfield duo Kevin Brown and Shaun Lunt have been placed on standby amidst injury concerns over Steve McNamara’s England squad.

England face France at Leigh on Saturday but could be without Leeds pair Danny McGuire and Kevin Sinfield, who both suffered knee injuries during the Rhinos 28-22 win over Wakefield on Friday.

McNamara is already sweating over the fitness of St Helens scrum-half Kyle Eastmond, and has drafted in stand-off Brown, 25, and hooker Lunt, 23, as cover.

If the uncapped duo are not needed, they will return to the Giants camp ahead of their mouthwatering fixture against St Helens on Friday.
