Huddersfield completed a double over high-flying Hull KR with a comfortable victory at the Galpharm Stadium.

The Giants followed up their 30-6 win at Craven Park on Easter Monday with a 22-6 victory which brings them within a point of the Rovers at the business end of the Super League table.

Scott Moore celebrated his call up to Tony Smith’s England squad with a superb performance, and opened the scoring after 12 minutes, burrowing over the line from dummy half.

Just minutes later, Luke Robinson got on the end of a flowing move created by a Danny Kirmond break, with Leroy Cudjoe adding the two points to make it 12-0.

Hull KR got themselves back in the game when the excellent Ben Galea sent Kris Welham crashing through a gap for their first score, and the visitors were denied the chance to level things up when Peter Fox had a try disallowed by the video referee.

But Huddersfield regained their six point advantage before the break when Lee Mossop, on-loan from Wigan, took a ball from fellow loanee Moore and rounded Shaun Briscoe for a four pointer.

The second half turned in to an arm wrestle, but Hull KR just couldn’t find a score to get them back in the game.

Huddersfield sealed the victory with ten minutes left when Moore fed Paul Whatuira for the Giants’ fourth try.
