Chris Houston has completed a remarkable NRL comeback by signing a two-year deal with his fomer club Newcastle.

The former St George player was stood down from the club in March after he was charged with four counts of allegedly supplying drugs.

But the charges have since been dropped, allowing the 25-year-old to join the squad for the 2011 season.

Houston will re-join his team mates when they squad reconvenes on January 4 following their Christmas break.

He also has the option to sign a one-year extension for the 2013 season.
