Houghton wants KC Stadium fortress

Hull hooker Danny Houghton wants to turn the KC Stadium in to a fortress as they welcome Super League favourites Warrington this weekend.

The Airlie Birds have won one, drawn one and lost one this season, with their win coming in their only home game to date, against Bradford.

Houghton told the club’s official website: “It’s early in the season and we’ll get better. We’ve just got to take each game as it comes and we know Warrington will be a big test.

“We’ve built a bit of a fortress at the KC Stadium and if we can get our timing right and cut the soft errors and penalties out, we can go toe to toe with them.”

Hull, who drew with the Wolves at home in the opening round of last season, only lost once at the KC Stadium in the whole of 2012 – 56-12 to Wigan in April.
