Horne injury blow for Hull

Hull will be without Graeme Horne for six weeks after it was confirmed he will need surgery to repair an injured thumb.

Horne, 24, damaged ligaments during training last week but was hopeful of playing on with the injury.

But he will now go for surgery bringing to an end his ever-present record for the Airlie Birds in 2009.

He joins back-rower Willie Manu, full-back Motu Tony and winger Gareth Raynor on the injury list, but there was at least some good news for Hull, with Shaun Berrigan expected to return for Saturday’s clash against Warrington.
