Hong Kong confirms new Origin series

The Hong Kong Rugby League (HKRL) have revealed that representative rugby league is on its way to the country, with the inaugural Hong Kong Origin Series set for July.

The series will be the very first domestic representative game staged in Hong Kong, and will also function as the first official trial for the national team, know as the Hong Kong Thunder.

Eligibility will be determined by current place of residence, and the two squads will feature 20 players each.
