Holt expects to make Craven Park a fortress

Barrow Raiders coach Darren Holt has challenged his side to remain undefeated at Craven Park this season.

Holt expects his side to turn Craven Park into a fortress, including against higher opposition.

Barrow will begin that task by taking on Swinton in Sunday’s match.

Holt said: “We’re playing at home and I don’t want us to get beaten at home all year.

“We know that Swinton are a division above us, and it’s good for us to play those teams because it will stand us in good stead for our league.

“If we do things right and put in a good performance then I’m quietly confident.”

Barrow welcome back four key players to the side, and Holt insists his team can take positives from last weekend’s third quarter against Workington.

Holt said: “I thought the first 20 minutes of the second half was the best we’ve played all year.”
