Holbrook aiming to upset the Tigers

Justin Holbrook says St Helens must raise their game when they visit Super League leaders Castleford on Sunday.

Saints were demolished 53-10 when the teams met in the Challenge Cup during May, but Holbrook’s arrival has sparked an upturn in their fortunes.

Victories over Hull and Wigan has put Saints in touching distance of the top half of the table and if you fancy them to make it three-in-a-row check out free bets at bethut.co.uk for the best odds.

Holbrook said: “It will be a really tough game – we have the luxury of having a full week’s training in preparation and we are pretty fortunate with that.

“Considering how well they are going we need as long as we can to get a gauge on how we need to play against them.

“We are one of the three sides to have beaten them so far this season but we were poor against them in the Cup. We don’t want to play like that again – we need to play a lot better than we did last time and I am sure we will.

“We have to try and stop them as they are lethal all over the park. We want to play more football too and have been working on that this week. But the main thing is stopping them.

“It would be great to see a big away crowd over there. It will be one hell of a tough game so it would be great if a good crew of our fans travelled out to support the boys, because I know they have got some good results over recent weeks and are trying really hard at training.

“The willingness for the playing group to learn is a real buzz for me. They have been fantastic with all their efforts on the field.

“They are doing all the right things to make the fans and the club proud of their performance.”
