Hohaia looking for Hull KR revenge

St Helens utility Lance Hohaia says their Challenge Cup draw against Hull KR is the perfect chance to avenge Sunday’s Super League defeat.

Rovers bounced back from their worst ever Super League defeat to beat Saints 22-14 at Craven Park, and the two sides will now face each other in the fourth round of the cup following yesterday’s draw at Warrington.

Hohaia said: “It’s a good chance to get some revenge. The result last week will be irrelevant when we go back there. It’s a new game and the scores are nil-all at the start.”

The Kiwi, a World Cup winner in 2008, was present at the draw and described it as something of an experience, given the lack of a knockout cup competition Down Under.

In his first season at Saints last year, they beat Widnes in round four, before going out at the quarter-final stage to Wigan.

He added: “Obviously it’s nice to play on the big stages in rugby league and I’d definitely love at some stage to be part of that. If that’s this year then great but there is a lot of hard and some good performances before that can happen.”
