Former Wigan forward Ryan Hoffman is to link up with ex-team-mates Sam Tomkins and Thomas Leuluai at New Zealand Warriors next season.

Hoffman, 30, has agreed a three-year deal to join the Warriors from Melbourne Storm, where he has played for his whole career, with the exception of the 2011 season at Wigan.

He said: “It was a very tough decision to leave Melbourne Storm, it’s been my home for a very long time.

“It wasn’t a decision I made lightly, however the opportunity for my family and I was too good to refuse.

“I’ve had so much great support from members and fans since my first game here and I’m sure it will be the same for my last. I’m looking forward to finishing off a great season with Storm.”

Hoffman scored 11 tries in 34 appearances for Wigan in 2011, appearing in the Challenge Cup final victory over Leeds and the World Club Challenge defeat to St George-Illawarra.

He has previously represented New South Wales in State of Origin and also the Australia national team.
