David Hodgson has taken up the option of a third year on his Hull KR contract.

Hodgson, 31, will remain at the club for the 2014 season and he is delighted to be doing so.

The former Huddersfield man said, “This is a great club to play for. They’re my home-town team and staying here next season was always what I wanted to do.”

Rovers coach Craig Sandercock is just as pleased and he had this to say:

“He is the ultimate professional and the way he goes about his training and preparation is a great example for our young players.

“On top of that he has been one of our most consistent performers this year.”

Hodgson has managed 27 tries in 38 appearances for the Robins since joining ahead of the 2012 season.
