Hock sidelined for Leigh

Leigh forward Gareth Hock wouldn’t have featured at all across the Easter weekend due to injury.

Hock, 33, picked up a one-match ban for verbally abusing a match official in the defeat at home to Catalans which ruled him out of the defeat at Salford.

But coach Neil Jukes revealed that he wouldn’t have been able to feature anyway due to a dead leg.

He said: “Gaz may be out for a couple of weeks. He will be touch and go for Hull KR next week.

“He went off with a dead leg last week, and when we’ve dug a bit deeper with it they’ve found some other issues there.

“We’ll assess him and he’ll possibly be back for Hull KR next week.”

Leigh host Hull in Super League on Monday before their city rivals Hull KR travel to face the Centurions in the Challenge Cup on Saturday.

Half-back Josh Drinkwater is unlikely to be risked against Hull KR either.

Jukes added: “We won’t rush Josh back until he’s ready. We’ve got lots of games ahead of us. It’s long old season.”
