Gareth Hock has been banned for seven games by the RFL, having been found guilty of making deliberate contact with a match official.

The Salford forward has also been fined £300, following an incident in his team’s weekend win over Hull FC.

The other major miscreant in the last round of Super League matches, in the eyes of the RFL, is Vincent Duport of Catalan Dragons.

His choke ‘tackle’ on Wigan’s Josh Charnley has resulted in a three-game ban, and a £300 fine. The French centre pleaded guilty to a charge of Grade D dangerous contact.

Duport’s Catalan Dragons team-mate Gregory Mounis has also been hit with a two-game suspension, as well as a £300 fine, after pleading guilty to a charge of a Grade C dangerous throw in the game against Wigan.
