Hobbled Huby to miss start of season

A broken wrist is set to keep Huddersfield prop Craig Huby out for the start of the 2016 season.

Huby has had surgery and could be out for three months after injuring himself in training.

The front-rower, who joined the Giants from Castleford at the start of 2015, is expected to miss at least the first rounds of the season and may be unavailable until mid-March.

Huddersfield open their Super League campaign away at St Helens on February 5.

The loss of Huby is a blow to the Giants’ forward pack, which has already been weakened by the transfer of Brett Ferres to Leeds.
