Higham awarded testimonial

Warrington hooker Mickey Higham has been awarded a three-month testimonial by the RFL.

Higham, 33, started his professional career at Leigh and moved to St Helens in 2002.

He joined Wigan in October 2005 via Bradford in a deal involving the late Terry Newton and joined current club Warrington ahead of the 2009 season.

With the Wolves, he has won three Challenge Cup titles, adding to his Super League Grand Final winners ring he earned at Saints back in 2002.

The testimonial will be launched at a free family day at Monks Club in Woolston on Saturday September 13.

Other events planned including a series of Fans question and answer sessions in Warrington (Rylands, October 15), Leigh (Miners, October 22) and St Helens (Langtree Park, October 29).

Ladies Nights will be held at Leigh Miners Institute (October 25) and the Village Hotel in Warrington (November 14th), which will also host a Gala Dinner on November 1st.
