Featherstone Rovers’ Jonny Hepworth has signed a two year contract at the club.

Head coach Daryl Powell had previously coached Hepworth at Leeds Rhinos, and brought the 29-year old to the Big Fellas Stadium last season.

Hepworth said: “I’m really pleased to have signed a new deal with the club.

Featherstone Rovers is a great club and I’m really enjoying being involved with a club that is really going places both on and off the field.”

The former Leeds Rhinos and Leeds Carnegie player has scored 18 tries in 32 appearances for Rovers in his short time at the club.

Head coach Daryl Powell said: “I am delighted we have been able to sign Jonny for a further two years.

“He has adapted to life back in rugby league superbly and is a key component of our team. His versatility gives us so many options and his pace and footwork is outstanding.”
