Henjak happy to welcome Carlaw

Brisbane coach Ivan Henjak says he is happy with the look of the Broncos’ forward pack, following the return of second row Dane Carlaw.

Carlaw, who has returned the Broncos after a two year spell in Super League with Catalans, will join the likes of other new signings Ben Hannant and Shane Tronc.

Henjak will be desperate to improve on last season’s performance, which saw the Broncos fail to make the NRL‘s top eight for the first time since 1988.

But with the likes of Carlaw, Hannant and Tronc at his disposal, Henjak is confident that he has the players to make an impression on the NRL in 2011.

“Dane just adds a bit more experience and depth to the already growing forward pack,” he said.

“He will be a welcome addition.

“He spent the majority of his career here and we developed him at the Broncos.

“That’s a big plus that he understands the culture of the Broncos and he is still in good shape.”
