Hooker Ian Henderson has confirmed his retirement from rugby league.

In March Henderson broke his leg badly while playing for the Roosters in the NRL.

The 33-year old made his debut back in 2003 for the Tricolours. He joined Parramatta in 2005 before spending three years with Bradford, where he won the 2005 Super League grand final.

Henderson returned to the NRL for three years with the New Zealand Warriors.

He then came back to Super League, having five seasons with Catalans.

Henderson made a total of 281 career appearances. He also played eight times for Scotland, featuring in the 2013 World Cup.
