Hemel add to coaching team

Former London Skolars stand-off Jermaine Coleman is one of three new faces on the coaching staff at new Championship 1 club Hemel Stags.

With Troy Perkins, the former St George-Illawarra and Penrith player, already in situ as Head Coach, the Stags have now appointed Dan Stocks and Matt Lambert to their coaching team, with Coleman taking a player/coach role.

Perkins said: “It is refreshing for the players and for myself to have more people in and around the playing set up at the Stags. Dan Stocks has been at the club since he was a kid and has been coaching at the club for many years, he has coached South of England Students and will bring great local knowledge to the table.

“(Jermaine) has played over 150 times for Skolars 1st team and he is a brilliant addition to the coaching staff. I can already see, in the sessions he has taken, how well the lads respond to him and how much knowledge he has.”

Lambert, who takes the role of Strength and Conditioning coach, studied sports science at Leeds Met university, and has previously worked with the Castleford scholarship programme.
