Wests Tigers back-rower Chris Heighington was tempted by a move to Penrith, but is happy to stick with the Tigers for the next two seasons.

Heighington was also linked to a switch to Super League, before deciding to remain with the joint-venture club.

He said: “I’m happy, I’m a Tiger for the next two years.

“There wasn’t much to it. There was a fair bit of talk about it, a little bit of a nibble but obviously I’ve played at the Tigers nine years and I want to finish my career here. I’m really pleased I can stay another two years.”
