Heath L’Estrange sidelined for season

Influential Bradford hooker Heath L’Estrange has been ruled out for the rest of the season after a specialist confirmed he’d ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament.

L’Estrange limped off the field in yesterday’s 14-14 draw with St Helens at Odsal and his worst fears were confirmed by Professor Steve Bollen this afternoon.

Commenting on the injury, Coach Mick Potter said: “I really feel for Heath.  He has been in great form for us and signed a new deal only last week. He is a thorough professional though and he will be back in the shortest possible time.

“He will get all the help he needs from the club throughout his rehabilitation and his character will help him overcome this injury and come back stronger.”
