Harry Newman: Potential devastating news delivered on Leeds star

Leeds star Harry Newman has suffered a suspected hamstring injury in the Super League Round 13 clash with St Helens, Jon Wells has confirmed.
Newman, 23, was forced from the action in the first half and looked to be in a lot of pain as he was assisted from the field, with the clash live on Sky Sports.
The young star has already suffered two serious hamstring injuries and a leg break already in his career, and made his long-awaited return earlier this year in Round Four against Wakefield.
He was limited to just seven appearances last season due to ongoing hamstring issues, and missed a potential place in Shaun Wane’s England squad for the World Cup on home soil.

“It’s a suspected hamstring [injury],” Wells reported on Sky Sports in the second half.
“Not sure if it’s the same severity. Huge explosion of emotion from Harry, given what he’s had to go through.
“When he calms down, the doctor will be able to better assess the severity of that injury.”
Meanwhile, Morgan Gannon will take no further part after suffering an ankle injury inside Headingley Stadium.
Australian playmaker Aidan Sezer was also forced from the field in the first half, with half-back partner Gannon later forced off.
It has forced Rohan Smith to shuffle his side, with Richie Myler moving into the halves and try-scorer Ash Handley moving to full-back.
Sam Walters passed a head injury assessment in the first half to return to the field.
