Harrison warns Salford to be wary of Halifax

Former Salford coach Karl Harrison has warned his old club not to be complacent when they play Halifax this weekend.

Now assistant coach to James Lowes at Bradford Bulls, who beat Salford last time out, Harrison has also coached at Fax in the past.

He expects Richard Marshall’s side to ask some testing questions of the Red Devils.

“Salford have got to go to Halifax in the right frame of mind,” Harrison told the Manchester Evening News.

“They can expect a rude awakening if they think the home side are going to be something of a soft touch. They are anything but and are very tough to beat at home.

“Trust me, Halifax are a very good, hard working team. Salford slipped up by probably underestimating Bradford and cannot afford to do the same.

“Halifax have some good players in their ranks.”
