Batley coach Karl Harrison is happy to see his side gelling, as they look to ruffle some feathers at the top of the Championship.

The Bulldogs are sat in third place with six wins from nine games, and play Toulouse at the weekend looking to keep up the pressure on league leaders Leigh and Featherstone.

The former Salford coach said: “I’m pleased with the way the squad have gelled together as a group, and that we have been competitive in all of the games we have played.

“Every game at this level is a hard game and you have to prepare well. Toulouse are a very good team and it is always difficult to travel overseas to play, but we will be ready.

“I still think there is plenty to come from the squad this season, there is no point peaking in May when the Grand Final and play-offs are in September and October.”
