Harrison Hansen extends Toulouse stay

Toulouse forward Harrison Hansen has signed a new deal that will see him stay at the clubs until at least the end of 2021.

The 34-year-old joined the French club ahead of this season from Widnes, and has scored one try in four games for the club so far.

Toulouse and Hansen have mutually agreed to activate the option of a further year in Hansen’s contract.

Hansen said: “I am very happy to stay with Toulouse next year.

“When Cedric Garcia (administrative director) offered me the chance to activate the option in 2021, I didn’t have to think.

“My family and I appreciate our life in Toulouse and I love playing with this team under the direction of Sylvain (Houles, coach).

“I look forward to seeing the guys and race again to continue our way to the Super League. I also thank president Bernard Sarrazain, Cedric, Sylvain and my agent.”

Toulouse chairman Bernard Sarrazain added: “We had high expectations of Harrison when he arrived and one thing is sure – we have not been disappointed.

“This is an example, leader and all his team-mates naturally follow. We are very happy to have him with us next season.”
