Harlequins 18-42 Bradford

Bradford Bulls gave their fans something to be happy about with a 42-18 win over Harlequins at the Twickenham Stoop.

The game was rearranged from February when it was postponed due to adverse weather condtions.

The Bulls are still third from bottom in the engage Super League table but are now within a point of 11th-placed Hull FC.

Bradford leapt into the lead thanks to two tries in the opening five minutes from Dave Halley, both converted by Paul Deacon, making the score 12-0.

Harlequins tries to get back into he game and Rob Purdham crossed, Danny Orr converting, but Halley completed his hat-trick and Deacon a third goal to keep the visitors in control.

Tries from Sam Burgess, Steve Menzies and Michael Worrincy, each converted by Deacon, gave Bradford a 30-6 lead at the half-time interval.

The first twenty minutes after the restart were scoreless but eventually Bradford broke the second-half deadlock through Wayne Godwin, Deacon adding the extras.

Quins added a modicum of respectability to the score with late tries from Purdham and Will Sharp, Purdham’s goals rounding off the scoring.
