Harlequins 0-54 St Helens

St Helens claimed top spot in the engage Super League with a comprehensive 54-0 win over Harlequins in London on Saturday night.nnThe Quins, who in their last outing at the Twickenham Stoop defeated Leeds Rhinos, never looked like troubling the impressive Saints.nnIt was a magnificent team effort from St Helens, both in attack – there were nine different try-scorers – and in defence – keeping Harlequins scoreless.nnWillie Talau opened the scoring for the visitors after 10 minutes before Leon Pryce found space in the middle for James Roby to touch down, Long adding the goal.nnPryce was the next scorer for Saints after some impressive handling, followed by a fourth try from Paul Clough, Long converting both. nnIt was little better for the Quins after the break, Ade Gardner got over the line after a length-of-the-field move, Long adding the extras.nnThe score passed the 30-points mark when Kieron Cunningham and Long combined to send Jon Wilkin over, Long converting.nnKyle Eastmond went close at the corner but found himself in touch, but was not to be denied moments later to leave the score at 38-0. nnThere was no easing off from Saints, the visitors stringing together 13 passes on the last tackle for Francis Meli to touch down at the corner before Roby strolled over the line for a second time, Long converting. nnSt Helens passed the 50-points mark and set the seal on their win when Pryce sent James Graham over, Paul Sculthorpe kicking the goal.nnHarlequins – 0nnSt Helens – 54 nnT: Talau (11); Roby (14, 73); Pryce (27); Clough (30); Gardner (45); Wilkin (55); Eastmond (60); Meli (67); Graham (75) nG: Long (15, 28, 31, 46, 56, 74); Sculthorpe (76)nnHT: 0-22nnRef: B ThalernnAtt: 6,000
