Featherstone full-back Ian Hardman has signed a new two-year deal with the club.

Hardman, 25, joined the club from Widnes having had Super League experience at first club St Helens and Hull KR.

Rovers Head Coach Daryl Powell said: “Ian Hardman has been one of the outstanding performers in his time at Featherstone Rovers and I am highly delighted he has agreed a two year extension to stay with us. His game has gone from strength to strength but still has improvement in it, which I know Ian will strive to achieve. As a part of the contract Ian will work with our young players to help develop the same high standard he has brought to Featherstone.”

Ian Hardman, excited about the new dimension to his role and enthused by the opportunity to build on Rovers’ 2011 achievements said: “I am delighted to sign for another two years and to build on the success we have already had. The new elements of the role are very exciting. Helping young players develop within the academy and then on to the first team is a great opportunity..”
