Hannant hangs up his boots

North Queensland Cowboys prop Ben Hannant has been forced into retirement because of a chronic keen injury.

Hannant made his debut for the Roosters in 2005. He has played 245 NRL games for the Roosters, Broncos, Bulldogs and Cowboys.

The 31-year old front-rower played six times for Australia and 12 matches for Queensland.

Hannant won grand finals with Brisbane and North Queensland.
