Leeds winger Ryan Hall is hopeful that he will be fit for the Challenge Cup sixth round tie with Huddersfield next month.

The game is scheduled to take place at Headingley over the weekend of May 16 – 17.

Hall is currently sidelined with an arm injury, but is hoping that he will be recovered in time to face the Giants.

“Hopefully I can be in contention,” he said.

“The Huddersfield game is within my recovery time, but nothing is set in stone and we will see how the bone is once I get the cast off.

That game certainly gives me a target to work towards because I really enjoy playing in the Challenge Cup and all the boys want to do the best we can.”

Hall’s place on the wing has been taken by youngster Ash Handley, a player whose performances so far indicate that he has plenty of talent.

“I am very proud of Ash Handley and how he has been going,” Hall added.

“There was a lot of talk on social media at the weekend that I won’t get my spot back in the team.

“In one sense we are going head to head for one of the wing spots however I am really pleased for him.

“Having the young kids coming through is what makes the Rhinos the club we are and Ash and I have similar backgrounds and both played amateur played at Oulton Raiders.

“The way he played against Saints was brilliant and great to watch.”
