Toronto Wolfpack have revealed that their captain for the 2017 season will be utility back Craig Hall.

The former Hull FC, Hull KR and Wakefield man will lead the Canadian side for the first time in their friendly at Hull FC this weekend.

Former Sheffield full back Quentin Laulu-Togagae has been named as one of the club’s vice captains, along with former Leigh hooker Bob Beswick.

“After discussion with the staff, we all agreed that Craig was the right man for the job,” Toronto coach Paul Rowley told his club’s official website.

“Craig’s role is very important to the dynamics of the team and captain is a huge responsibility.

“The ability to communicate effectively with myself and the team is a solid attribute that I felt Craig had when coming to my decision. He obviously has a wealth of experience within the game and is very level headed.

“Hall will be well supported by his vice captains Bob Beswick, and QLT.” Rowley explained. “Both of whom along with Craig are fantastic leaders and big characters within the group giving us solid leadership throughout.”

The Wolfpack have also signed a major three-year sponsorship deal with Canadian airline Transat.
