Halifax have announced the signing of half-back Connor Robinson on a two-year deal.

Robinson, 25, returns for his second stint at the Shay, having featured in the 2015 season from Hull KR.

He joins from Championship rivals York, where he was named League 1 player of the season during their promotion campaign and helped them make the Championship play-offs during their first year back in the division.

Robinson said: “I am excited to be coming back to Fax. I feel that I left without fulfilling my potential before. When my agent mentioned of the interest, it felt like an opportunity to come back and right those wrongs from last time.

“I have had a great time at York. We had some memorable years, but the opportunity to go back and play at Halifax was too good to turn down. After speaking to Grixy and Ian Croad, it was a no brainer to come back and be a part of the family. 2021 can not come quick enough and I will do everything I can to push Fax to promotion to Super League.”

The club also announced the re-signing of Jacob Fairbank on a two-year deal.

James Woodburn-Hall and James Saltonstall have also both agreed to new deals for 2021.
