Halifax sign Brandon Moore

Halifax have confirmed that they have signed Brandon Moore on a one-year deal for the 2016 season.

The Cumbrian hooker has played for England Academy in the past, and was Castleford’s Under-19 player of the year in 2015.

He will begin his time at Fax in the newly formed reserve team, though he is expected to be competing for a first-team place soon.

“Brandon’s taken a look at us and he obviously likes what he sees because he’s backed himself to come here,” said Fax coach Richard Marshall.

“Initially, he’s signed for the reserve grade, but there are incentives there for him if he make the step up to the first team.

“If I’m being honest, I’m a little surprised that Cas have let him go.

“He’s a strong, dynamic hooker with some skills and some speed and there’s definitely some potential there for us to work on.”
