Griffin out for two months

Salford prop Darrell Griffin has been ruled out for two months with a knee injury.

Griffin, 32, suffered ligament damage during the 44-18 win at London on Sunday.

He joins Rangi Chase and Junior Sa’u on the sidelines, ahead of Thursday’s televised visit of St Helens.

Coach Brian Noble said: “We’ve lost Darrell Griffin for six to eight weeks. Chase’s calf is still no good and Sa’u is probably 60-40 against playing but, other than that, we’re pretty healthy.

“(Adrian) Morley and (Tony) Puletua come back into the mix, as does Andrew Griffin.”
