Griffin extends Salford stay

Leeds prop Darrell Griffin will remain at Salford on loan for a further month.

Griffin, 31, said earlier this week that he would rather stay with the Reds, than return to be a fringe player at Headingley.

Salford’s interim head coach, Alan Hunte, said: “Griff has been good for us.

“He’s given us a bit of presence up front. He’s definitely added some value to the squad.”

Griffin is due to make his fourth consecutive appearance for Salford in their Super League clash with Warrington on Friday.
