Greenshields stays with Catalan

Catalan full-back Clint Greenshields has signed a new one-year deal to remain in France.

Greenshields, 29, is the Dragons’ all-time leading Super League try scorer, notching 56 tries in 106 appearances.

He said: “I’m very happy to stay at the club for one more season. I feel really good here and I want to thanks Trent Robinson for giving me the opportunity to continue playing for Dragons next year. I’m now looking for a title in the next two years in Challenge Cup or Super League.”

Head Coach Trent Robinson said: “When you think about Catalans Dragons, you will automatically think of Clint Greenshields. He is the first overseas player to play 100 games for the club and we are proud to have signed him for 2012. Greeny has shown his class during five seasons with the club and has continued to evolve his game through the changes in Super League during this time. Rugby league followers in France and in Catalonia will be excited to see Greeny representing Catalans Dragons next season.”
