Greenshields fined for Twitter comments

Catalan Dragons’ Clint Greenshields has been handed a £1,000 fine for breaching the RFL’s Respect Policy.

Greenshields was also found guilty of breaching the RFL’s Operational Rules relating to improper conduct and criticism towards match officials. 

The comments the Catalan fullback made were on Twitter, and were abusive towards referee Ben Thaler during the Dragons’ fixture at Leeds. Greenshields missed the game through injury.

The French international has also been handed a £500 suspended fine up until 2013.
