Green makes it 11 for Whitehaven

Whitehaven have handed a deal for 2018 to winger Danny Green.

Green made four appearances in 2017 having joined midway through the season from amateur club Haresfinch.

Head Coach, Carl Forster, said: “It’s great to get Danny back on board. It’s more than deserved for him to be rewarded with a contract.

“I thought he came into the team really well, did all the right things and knows it’s a process for him.

“With a good pre season under his belt and more time to learn I think he can really nail down a position this season and become a top squad player.

“His attitude with everything is first class and we’re all happy to have him again this year.”

Green is Whitehaven’s 11th squad member for 2018, with Forster and assistant Tony Stewart continue to work behind the scenes on recruitment.
