The Great Britain squad were forced to evacuate their hotel in New Zealand because of a fire.

The Lions needed to leave their hotel in Auckland because of a massive fire burning from the SkyCity Convention nearby.

Great Britain face the Tonga Invitational XIII in Waikato on Saturday morning (8am UK time), and the team were given 20 minutes to pack their bags and evacuate the SkyCity Grand Hotel.

Wayne Bennett’s side got the bus to Hamilton a day earlier than planned, and none of the Lions have been harmed.

The Lions will play four Test matches this autumn – Tonga, Papua New Guinea and two against New Zealand.
